STRETCH MARKS: Yes they're still there from before :(
BELLY BUTTON: Has popped out.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Since I now know what the sex of my baby is, and finally we have been receiving great weather. All I'm looking forward is the Summer break which I can relax and hang out with my family and visit friends and stick my pregnant behind in their swimming pool if they have one.

It's a Girl

We finally went to our Anatomy screening yesterday afternoon. During this screening our little bean will be measured from the crown to the rump, around her middle, around her head. The four chambers of her tiny beating heart as well as the kidneys bladders, stomach, brain, spine and sex organ. This screening ensures that they are developing normally or identifies any potential problems. Our sonographer looks at the amniotic fluid levels, the location of the placenta and fetal heart beat. Unfortunately the technician was not able to get a clear photo of little beans heart so we must go back the following Thursday.

Our technician mentioned a few times how active our sweet baby was during the procedure, I take the blame for that because I did snack on a delicious milk chocolate bar before the ultrasound. Over all she was able to take the required photos besides the little heart. The ultrasound takes up to an hour, at the half way mark she did tell me to go use the washroom and walk around a bit because baby wouldn't position properly she was constantly showing us her back (sassy girl). When our time was up she went out to get Jessye so we both can see our sweet baby on the screen. The technician showed us all the little body parts we even saw our sweet baby yawn, this is when mommy started to tear up. In the end she showed us the genital area and the second I saw it I knew we were having a baby girl. The female genitals were very clear to both technician and I.

Jessye was very clear that he wanted his baby girl were as I was more towards having a baby boy, only because there aren't many males on my side of the family nor his. But I cant be more happier to know that my sweet baby girl, my sweet Arya Rose Anwari-Raposo is growing healthy and I absolutely can not wait to have her in my arms. Our technician left the room to gather some Ultrasound photos and allow the newly parents to embrace the great news. Jessye gave me the biggest hugs while tears were rolling down his cheeks, it was such a pleasure seeing the new daddy so happy that he will be a father to a baby girl. I cant wait to raise our daughter together my sweet Jessye.
Love you both forever and ever. xox

Spring is in the air!

The past couple of days Toronto has finally received beautiful Spring weather. I have been waiting for warm weather  to pack away my winter jacket and bring out the flats and sundress. I pulled out a few of my long maxi dresses which still fit even over my baby bump which is a relief, I plan to wear them and the few spring clothing that I've received from family also it would be nice to purchase a few pieces from the maternity boutique.

Today I left work early and was excited to get home to my little family and go for a walk in the park. Jessye and I got Tyson ready grabbed his ball and walked to the closest dog park. When we got there mummy sat down on the grass while daddy Jessye played fetch with Tyson. He has been getting so big, so fast he is already 4 months old and full of life. I fall in love with him more and more each day and hate that he is getting big and soon will be bigger than mommy.  I cant wait to see how both my little furbabies Nahla & Tyson will interact with our baby. I'm sure they will be great fursiblings.

With this weather I plan to walk and exercise more than I did during the Winter, which will be great for mine and little beans heath and will help with labour.

Tyson enjoying the weather. xox

Dr. Daly

Today I had my first appointment to meet the doctor who will bring our little bean into this world, Dr. Daly. I will be delivering in the beautiful baby centre at St. Joseph's Hospital. At first I was quite hesitant to go to St. Joseph's only because it is a pretty ancient building, and Mount Sinai Hospital is known for delivering babies. Once we heard such great reviews about the new facilities and how great Dr. Daly is, also not to mention how close it is to home, we couldn't say no.

Until today, I was told by my family doctor two different due dates, Dr. Daly gave us an official due date for our delivery which is September 10th, 2015. I am 19 weeks tomorrow and with my check up today it is confirmed baby is 100% healthy and I am doing very well and should not change any of my daily routine. We were able to hear our sweet beans heartbeat galloping away.

Going into todays appointment, brought a bit of fear in me that this is happening in a few months I will be having a little baby and our lives will change.  Jessye and I will be parents to a little boy or girl. I just cant wait to finally hold my sweet bean for the first time.

First Kick

On Thursday night we went to the movies watching "Insurgent" the second book/movie in the Divergent trilogy, I did not find the movie that fascinating nor did I for the first but we had free movies passes and our two cousins joined us. We came back home and hung out watching tv while Raquel got ready for a night out of dancing with her friends. I joked with Jessye about how we should go "clubbing" soon, how ridiculous would I look with a baby bump dancing at a club with a bunch of intoxicated young people. I do miss dressing up and going out for a few drinks with some friends especially the area we live its so diverse and has such great little cafes that we could go out on the weekends for a night of fun.

Later that evening I was laying in bed alone while Jessye and Amanda were in the living room watching a comedy movie "Neighbours", I felt a little movement, up to now I've only felt flutters and light touches. It was absolutely a beautiful experience  had to make sure that it was for sure bubba and not just gas bubbles. I felt another kick and I was in awe and I cant seem to express how thrilled I was to finally feel my sweet growing bean inside me. I  screamed out for Jessye to come and experience this with me. I grabbed his hand and held it on to my tummy and told him to keep quite and just wait than bubba kicked again he looked at me with a surprised face and gave me a kiss. A sweet moment with Daddy Jessye realizing how blessed we are to be able to experience such a journey and becoming parents to this sweet little bean.
