March Break Fun

This week was March Break, it was a well deserved break to rest catch up on some sleep and kick back and relax with my growing belly. The first few days Jessye and I stayed home and did some Spring cleaning and watched a few films. The following day the Linhares girls came over for slumber party and two days of fun. They arrived Wednesday night which we all decided to play "LIFE" the board game which was my first time playing and I ended up being the WINNER! 

On Thursday we all woke up had some delicious breakfast waffles & chicken bacon. We took Tyson out for a wash at the nearest Pet Value. Amanda and I decided to go to the closest nail spa to get our nails done, which came out absolutely beautiful. Getting back home I took a quick nap while the girls were in the living room watching How to Train your dragon & The Lego Movie. After my nap I started preparing dinner and made butter chicken, rice and a caesar salad. 

On Friday we went to Wizard Wonderland that was in the Better Living Centre at the exhibition place, we walked there from our condo after Jessye went to go pick up aunty Madiha, my baby sister. It was a lot of fun especially for the girls, our cousin Raquel joined in the fun  I decided to stay off the rides and take pictures, even though the rides were for kids and not scary like Toronto's Wonderland they were very bumpy and i'm sure they would have made me sick. I did purchase some yummy food for myself, I bought some delicious pink cotton candy and a dozen of tiny donuts.

Wedding Video

This video was taken and published by Julia Linhares, one of many Jessye's cousins. I couldn't thank her more to have done this for us and do such a brilliant job. It has made me cry several times to replay one of the best days of my life. It has captured the love between us both and the love we received from our family.  Thank you to our family and friends that were there to share this beautiful day with us.

Newest addition

Please welcome our newest addition to our small growing family. Tyson our sweet 3 month  Old English Bulldogge. We got him when he was 10 weeks old from a breeder in Brantford Ontario. I was at work while jessye rented a car to go and get him. I came home to a beautiful little face and was extremely excited.  He has been such a handful since the day we got him,  he has been up to date with all his shots and had adjusted quite well in our condo, including befriending our kitty Nahla who seems to not enjoy his company. Here is one of my favourite photo of him with his little sweater. 

We are slowly teaching him the basic tricks to sit, lie down, come and give me paw. As most bulldogge breeds they are very stubborn so it does take awhile for him to do them and a handful of doggy treats. but hopefully we will eventually get him to do them.

Forever Daddy's Little Girl

I know I just published a post for my birthday, but I thought that this post needed it's own blog entry. The night before my birthday my sweet father had sent me an email to wish me a happy birthday. As I had mentioned in one of my Baby Update post that one of my worst moment through my pregnancy was sharing the news of the baby to my family, I had not received the excitement that I had wished to get from my mother/family. My father had called me the Friday prior to my birthday which made my week. As the post title says I will forever be my daddy's little girl.

Mommy's 25th Birthday

This weekend was my 25th birthday, Jessye had planned a "Surprise Birthday Party" for me. I had my suspicion of what he possibly had planned but I had no idea that so many people had come to celebrate this milestone with me. I had hinted to him and my best friend that I would have loved to get together and go to one of my favourite restaurant, Korean Grill House and have a few of my friends and family come by to share the night with me. 

Earlier that day I had gone to the mall to pamper myself with a facial and eyebrow treading. I felt very refreshed since my pregnancy and this year's winter had made my face very dry and in need of some TLC. I wanted to get my nails done as well but I was running a bit late for the party.

I was so thrilled to see all the faces at my party and absolutely grateful for all the sweet and thoughtful presents that I received. I cant wait for next years birthday which I will share with my sweet bubba.

12 Weeks Baby update

NAME: Nabila

SPOUSE/PARTNER: Jessye

AGE: 24

HOW FAR ALONG: 12 weeks 1 day 

SIZE OF BABY: The size of a large plum

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO: Working and going straight home to rest, I cant seem to stay up or do anything after work. I look forward to get into my Pj's and lay on the couch and catch up on some TV shows.  

EXERCISE: Barely, I've been experiencing back pains that are very uncomfortable.  I notice them more while laying in bed or getting out of bed.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: A few pairs of jeans and shirts that was given to me by family. 

STRETCH MARKS: A few around my hips, I also noticed some on my breast. :(

BELLY BUTTON: I notice that it has popped a bit. 

SLEEP: Recently I've been waking up around 1-2 a.m. and not be able to fall back asleep right away. 

BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK:  Seeing how big my baby has gotten from 6 weeks to 12 week, at the Nuchal Screen Ultrasound.

WORST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: Arguing with Jessye about how badly I want a little puppy. We have come to a compromise and he is willing to get one.

FOOD CRAVINGS: Nothing really, Iv'e kinda been off on food which sounds horrible since I need to feed myself and the baby. I eat small portions but often through out the day. 

FOOD AVERSIONS: Chicken, especially if iv'e seen it raw while prepping the food. 

SYMPTOMS: Congestion in every part of the body that can be congested. Shorter fuse, cramping muscles, and occasional dizzy spells.

MOVEMENT: I few flutters here, especially when I'm laying in bed. 

GENDER: Unknown.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO: WARM WEATHER! Trailer season. 

WHAT I'M NERVOUS ABOUT: I just want a healthy baby.

WHAT I MISS: My little sister. 

NEXT APPOINTMENT: March 6, 2015 with my family doctor, to discuss future appointments and my OBGYN.

Weekend Brunch

Jessye and I had a very busy weekend, my best friend who has been visiting from the UK with her sweet 8 month old son Henry stayed over at our condo. We also had a few other visitors that come by, Jessye’s cousin Kelly with her husband Steve and their 2 year old son Mason, also another familiar face Lisa who also is related to Jessye. Married to a Portuguese it is not unusual to have such a big family, unlike myself it was always just the five of us. My parents were not very keen on visiting extended family or having visitors, perhaps it was the lack of space in our small 2 bedroom apartment.  I quite enjoy now being married to a family that is very family orientated and seem to enjoy each others company. This is what I've always wished I had but now I do and glad that my children will experience growing up with their cousins. 

Saturday morning we all decided to go for brunch, Lisa and Kaylee are both huge fans of brunch, so we decided to try out a new place that none of us have gone to. A place on Roncsesvalle called the Westerly, small cozy little place. Food was not the greatest but the company was amazing, especially having baby Henry joining us munching on his fresh fruits.
